I need help!!!!

    My son has a used computer. It is running very slow. I read the Basic computer maintenace everyone should do. I have gotten thru all the steps up to Start up items. I ran the CCleaner to find out what is starting up. I have a whole list and am not sure what any of them are. Can some one help me?:(
