Has anyone else questioned why DfrgNtfs.exe in windows Vista wants to access the internet. My ZoneAlarm lets me know that this program wants to connect to 224.0.0.252 for some reason. Maybe it updates itself, I don't know. I just started looking into why there are so many Vista programs that want to access the internet, seems strange to me.

    :confused

If you are looking deep, black viper can help with possible settings - but always at your own risk, and set a restore point.

I cannot tell you why it should want to go online, as far as I am aware, its the defrag program, of Vista ?????????
Perhaps someone else can answer your question better.

Vista has been known to be a bit WGA overdone, so practically anything could, I suppose, phone home , like ET.
