Lenovo E420 won't boot

    Thinkpad E420 edge. i3 2.6 duo core, 4 gig memory,320 gig hard drive. when you plug in charger, immediately the fans run, without pressing the power button? but no lights, or boot screen, nothing else. any help welcomed

    it is running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. i can't get to safe mode because, it just runs the fans as soon as you plug in the charger without pressing the power button. no lights blink no other sounds, just fans run. tried taking out battery and unplugging charger then pressing power button for 1 minute.but no change, still runs the fans.

    tried that but no change, now it will not turn off after starting by pressing power button? thanks for your input
