    Hi,

I'm having problems with my AC2 game. I recently got it. The problem is, the game runs a bit sluggish at times, such as when I'm trying to free run off buildings, etc.
I've tried everything from Gamebooster to Mz CPU accelerator. Still goes sluggish.
The question here is, Batman Arkham City flows smoothly in my computer with above average to top graphics settings ( I use Gamebooster here too).
Arkham City eats up more resources, right? But it works like a dream, whereas AC2 slows down every 2 minutes or so.
My laptop is an HP Pavilion dv6.

    Specs:
    -4GB Ram
    -2GB Ati Radeon HD 6770M
    -Intel core i5 2.4 ghz
    -Windows 7 Home Premium

My specs are around the recommended, so why is there a problem?
    Someone, anyone, please help!!

Your computer most likely needs some cleaning because your specs are very good.

Cleaning and defragmenting the drive alone can help:

As well as removing startup items that eat memory and slow you down before you even start.

    Thanks for the tip, Major.
    Unfortunately, things are still slow.
I tried CCleaner and Advanced SystemCare; I even ran Defraggler, but gameplay is still terribly slow.
What's astonishing is that my Arkham City gameplay has reached new heights of performance! :)
But no, AC2 is still extremely laggy.
Also, AC2 loads up pretty fast when I open it, whereas Arkham City takes a wee bit of time to get ready.
FYI, I've also tried Windows ReadyBoost, but nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Have you tried turnign your setting down? As major stated your seting are pretty good already, but just see if it helps. Try to LOD distance or object distance

Adding to what lego126 said, if you're running the game at your monitor's max resolution, try taking that setting down a notch or two. It's surprisingly effective.

And you're right that if you can run Arkham City, you should easily be able to run AC2... except AC2 is a Ubisoft game. :puke ;)
