I just ran the Uniblue scan and it found 313 registry errors. But then I'm asked to buy the software to repair them! :cry Is there a free program to repair them?

Actually a better suggestion is not to use registy cleaners. Most of the time they are not needed at all. They should only be used when you are known to have some real registry issue which most people would never know and even then you should use them under guidance of an expert and remove/fix only what is really necessary. For example like when you are trying to remove leftovers from some particular application in hopes of fixing problems before reinstalling the application. But even here, it is a selective fix.

Contrary to advertising, repairing of the registry provides negliable speed improvements and rarely are any of the issues being reported really a problem. The PC I'm typing on now works perfectly fine, and has never had a registry cleaner run on it in 8 years. It is the orginal install of Windows XP ( with all Windows Updates since that time ).

UniBlue is something we recommend uninstalling when seen in logs.

You're welcome. There have been many many discussions about registry cleaning pros and cons in the Software Forum. Some people will always say they have never had a problem and you will see others saying it can be dangerous. It can work both ways. But two things I will tell you
    1. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
    2. Almost all malware experts will tell you that you don't need to run registry cleaners and doing so can frequently cause more harm then good. And if you do get advised "by an expert" then you should only run it and fix what is advised to fix. An extremely high percentage of what registry cleaners ( and the junkware "speed up your PC" garbage ) are reporting things that are not problems. They will even report hundreds of problems on a freshly reinstalled PC. What they report as problems is even worse than antispyware software reporting cookies as malware problems!
