how to compress exe installers?

    I've tried using upx (upx.sf.net), but it throws a "NotCompressible" exception when trying to compress an installer. However, it works just fine when compressing programs I've compiled with C, that do NOT have an installer.

    Are there any programs out there that can pick up where upx fails?

    I don't know of any programs that can compress an executable.

    They are already compressed.

    You can zip them etc, but the file size will be the same, or in some cases larger.
