Ok, so im browsing the internet listening to some Metallica when my computer just freezes for like 1 second and then unfreezes again. Has been happening for like 3 days.
It all started when i left my computer on all night(i have left it on all night before - has never happened). What do i do to fix this?I can fix by doing a system stand by and then just logging back in but it comes back in time.Really annoying.
    Help!:(

I'm not sure if leaving it on all night has anything to do with it, I and many others leave our computers on 24/7. Try restarting and see if that helps.

Hit ctrl+alt+del when it starts doing that.

Click the processes tab. There are 2 columns down the right side, one for cpu and one for memory usage.

    1. Is anything hogging resources? The bottom number, system idle process should be really high. That's what's "left over."

    Now click the performance tab.

    2. What's the cpu usage?

    3. What percentage of memory is used?

    4. Is the yellow line on the paging graph anything other than still and on the bottom?

    Click the Networking tab.

    5. What percentage is used?
