Not sure if it worked

I just completed the Read and Run and Windows XP cleanup. I have been dealing with a windows security alert pop-up for months. As soon as the desk top loads, I get one of three balloons with one of the following warnings:
    1) Automatic Update is nit turned on, click here to turn on:
    2) Norton Auto protect is not enabled, click to enable
    3) your system is infected, click here to activate windows security center

At one point someone clicked the balloon, and this has pledged me ever since. Every time i think I got rid of it, it returns, so this time I want to know its gone. The other issue I am experiencing is that windows explorer crashes when I attempt to explore. i am not sure this is connected, but in case it is I am mentioning it. I am also experiencing an extremely long boot time from when windows xp splash screen comes up, to when the desktop actually loads. It can take up to 10 minutes sometime. Then it takes another 5-7 minutes before I can open a program. I am attaching the logs from my scans, and and looking forward to any input.

I am not seeing any issues on your system. You do need to double ( at the least ) the amount of RAM you have.

Let's get rid of these thought:
    C:\Documents and Settings\LILMAMA\(NULL)
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\(NULL)

If you have your xp cd, go to start / run / and type:
sfc /scannow --> run it at least twice.

Tell me what issues still remain.

I ran the sfc /scannow twice and removed the files you suggested. I am still having issues with my windows explorer crashing anytime i try to explore any drive or folder or anything. I am also still seeing a huge when turning on the system. The windows splash screen comes up then it goes blue (which is the color of my desktop, not a fatal error blue screen) and takes anywhere from 5 to ten minutes before my desktop appears, and then even longer before I can open a program. My HD is also working very hard. I am not sure these issues are in the right forum, since you say I am clean as far as malware.

Also, do i need to remove any programs that I installed when I followed the directions??

    Thanks!!

I am only seeing one other thing:
C:\WINDOWS\amunres.lsl --> find and delete that.

Norton is not showing in any startup reg. keys. So I think you have some software issues. You can try uninstalling Norton ( Please give the Norton Removal Tool (SymNRT) a run > reboot your machine and then run it again for good measure.)

Run CCLeaner and then re-install Norton.

    You didn't attach anything.

Your hard drive could be having issues, so I suggest that you defrag it, and then run a chkdsk on it.

Let me know how that goes.
