Mother board

i brought a new a new case and swap it all over now it wont power up just the fans go round and the floppy drive light comes on and off ? any ideas wot is wrong with it

does it make any beeps(the mobo) have you double checked all your connections? is the 4 pin power connector plugged in? it sounds like your cpu isn't working for one reason or another.

Yeh splitt3r is right there, try checking the square 4 pin CPU power connector, It's easily forgotten (I've done so before). If this isn't the case then maybe your graphics card isn't seated firmly enough. Is this exactly the same system which came from the new case or have you added anything at all to it?

 

also make sure that all the stand-offs are in the right place. try taking the board out of the case and setting it on a non conductive surface (like wood table etc.....)see if it boots up.

 

yea the floppy drive makes a nose , when i plug it in none of the lights light up on the front only the floppy disk lights up and its all what i had in the same case befor
