Okay, I have contracted a virus that has stopped my ability to download via dc++. An Avast! scan turned up a virus, (VBS:Malware) but upon trying to delete or repair it, I got an error message "This function is not supported on this system"... what is the deal?

Malware is not a Virus per say. Its a hijack.

You need to download something like Ad-Aware to get rid of it.
