Internet Explorer 2008 and Google Toolbar

While its still beta, some addons dont work properly especially toolbars as they have not been adapted to work as yet.

You could try uninstalling the Google Toolbar and reinstalling it ( do make sure you have latest version or even run the Googler Toolbar beta which is IE8 compatible ) as I would imagine you had it installed before installing IE8, so may need this simple step to fix or run IE8 in IE7 mode to see if it works then, but kinda defeats the object of running IE8 though.
