Locked Out Of System After Malware Removal

I am using Windows XP. I ran AVG recently and it found 25+ viruses on my system. When promped to move them to chest I did, but an error message came up saying several could not be moved to chest. I ran MalwareBytes Anti Malware and it found two trojans, and said they could not be fully removed until I re-booted the computer.

Upon reboot I am seeing a strange log in box for Windows XP asking for a username and a password. The default user name owner is in the first box but when I put in my password it will not recognize it. (And yes I checked caps lock)

I tried rebooting in safe mode but this strange Windows XP log in box comes up. I also tried booting in safe mode from the last known configuration option but I still get this XP log in box.
Somehow my computer password has been corrupted and I am locked out.

I have attatched a picture of this new log on screen I get now.

This is the message I get after it won't take my password.

"The system could not log you on. Make sure your User name and domain are correct, then type your password again. Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct case"

This is not a networked system, never has been, I am the only owner ever of this computer and the only user. I'm not sure what make sure your user name and domain are correct means.

I made a bootable disk and ran OTLPE - below is the log file.


Removal of a virus or trojan messed up my registry and now I need help in resetting my Windows passwords.

Any ideas?
