If you wanna cool down yer PC, use Arctic Silver silicone compund. It seriously is the best. I put it on my AMD Ahtlon XP 3200+ and it brought it down 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and I already had other compund on the CPU! Even after many hours of running, my CPU never gets very hot.
Just a friendly tip. Peace. :)

    Hmm

What temp you now running ??

You really should have cleaned off the old compound and applied a new coat of AS.

I bet the heatsink wasnt fitted properly for that sort of temperature reduction.

30F is a TON; like stated before the heat sink must have been placed incorrectly... and added thermal pastes together is just asking for a long-run problem. Actually...thats a pretty stupid idea.:(
