low noise fan

    anybody know of any low noise case fans? the one i got are kinda loud..
    and what is the standard noise level of a normal case fan/

    is this 60, 80 or 120mm??? my fans run at about 4,000 rpm producing about 26db of noise. there are many good makes just browse and show us what you can find! :cool:

    I had the same problem....fan sounded like a jet getting ready to take off!

    There are several really good, quiet fans available....made by Panaflow, Pabst and Zalman just to name a few.

    Look for good air flow (measured in CFM) and a low noise level (measured in DB).

    Make sure you get the right size fan, as they come in several different sizes.

    also, a fan making a loud droning sound that vibrates is a bad sign and must be replaced immediately, just to make sure, if this was the case...
