I am working w/ Windows Server 2003 and Active Directory and one account with administrator rights loses those rights when logging on to an XP Pro client. I can't install or run programs needing Power User or Administrative rights.

    Any suggestions?

You have admin rights on the server, but have you set up the user to have admin rights on the local machines? If you set up the user as an admin for the server it doesn't carry over to the client machines on the network. You would have to add the policy of local administrators group to this user as well.

AFAIK, joining a PC to a domain automatically adds the Domain Admins group to the local admin group. Check to make sure you're a member of this group (don't know why you wouldn't be) and that the group is a member of the local admin group on the offending PC.

If you still have no luck, you can try logging on as local admin on the PC and adding your user account to the local admin group, which will work, but isn't something you should make a habit of.
