Broke Windows after removing Virus

Hello, I had virus.win32.expiro.w that I'm pretty sure I got rid of and now lost access to Microsoft Office and Adobe reader and google chrome.

I was using the kapersky free trial because AVG didnt catch it and I didnt want to put my credit card info on the pc until this was resolved to make the full purchase. I can't download kapersky though, it was running in safe mode only.

Also, I cant download anything (it says it can't access my temp folder) & I also can't get to the Uninstall programs option on my control panel.


Help me please!

 

I just remembered something important, a friend of mine installed combo fix and tried to run it but it said not run in compatibility mode, which he couldn't seem to change. It did not appear to complete, but maybe that's why nothing is working?

The problem with infections like expiro is that it is difficult to be sure that your system is truly clean afterwards.

In your case, I would not be surprised at all if Expiro has patched the files associated with these programs, and possibly more programs than you have not run yet.
