i recently upgraded my mobo & cpu a few months ago.
    i got a intel core 2 quad q8300 & a intel dp43tf mobo.
i did a low level format of my hdd and did a clean install of xp home edition.
i downloaded and installed all patches i also installed sp3, and downloaded and installed the most recent chipset driver for my mobo i even flashed the bios to the most recent version, or will i need to upgrade to vista?
i ask because when i install any game it takes about an hour or more,
will i need to install vista (which i have):cry

What games are we talking about?

    I don't really see a problem tbh.

Mafia 2, Crysis warhead & gta 4 (each game took about an hour (except mafia 2 it was a little over an hour) per game)).:(
