    hi folks
I looked for threads on this topic and found one wherein one of our experts said to check Terminal Services condition in hopes of restoring the ability for [XP PRO] os to "switch users". Terminal services is supposedly running on mine, and set for "automatic" startup.
Is there a companion service to this that must also be enabled or ???????
I'm pretty sure I caused this issue in massively cleaning up the startup files, in hopes of getting XP Pro to boot in less than 30 minutes!!!!!!!! :cry :cry

thanks for any help. i use, as stated, XP Pro and IE7 and all updates are applied.
