Align to Grid setting keeps changing

Some setting I have somewhere, keeps turning ON the Align to grid setting.
(Right click on desktop--> Arrange Icons by ... (Align to Grids is checked))
I keep turning it OFF, but it keeps on coming back ON.

No big deal, just an unnecessary PITA. that's all.

Anyone with any idea what setting might be causing this? Bazza

I have a great Icon restore program, already, but my problem is something keeps turning on " Align to Grid " and the icons are moving., as a result.

I can get them back to where I want them easily but a solution to the " Align to Grid" being checked ON after I turn it OFF, is what I am after. Bazza

Thanks, TimW. It is some setting I have changed when doing a bit of tweaking as it is only a recent occurrence. They used to stay where they were put (bottom right of my screen). Bazza

ATI card, not Nvidia, in my laptop.

I think I installed a tweaking program that may have clashed with another tweaking program (doh).

Gonna go back through recent created programs . Bazza

Is autoarrange checked?

 

No, auto arrange has never ever been checked. As you are aware, if autoarrange is checked, the icons automatically position themselves at top left of the screen. I want mine bottom right, just to be difficult. It used to work, but not lately. Bazza
