Your missing a hard drive and cd rom drive

Imo I would go with one fast gpu like a 5870 if you wanted to go the ati route.

However i think the rest of your setup is good.

Also Corsair makes very high quality PSU's I have a TX750W in my pc and it's awesome so I highly suggest Corsair.

no i wont be using raid, but a 1TB would be better. should i have more ram?

Another thang you need is an OS.

Of your space requirements I think one 1tb drive would be enough

I would suggest a 64-bit os. I think you have enough ram.

    EDIT:

Sorry that ram may cause problems with your motherboard.

That is an absolute beast of a CPU in the "right hands" http://i4memory.com/f56/amd-965-c3-ln2-6667mhz-1m-superpi-w-r-go-giga-790fxta-ud5-corsairs-21389/ AMD are "back" with a vengeance.

The mobo can do quad vid cards (vc) and you get an 850w psu, you dont ever want 3xvc potential:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139013
at the bare minimum unless the mobo will never use the PCI-e x16x4.

I would go for 8GB of RAM and ensure a 64Bit OS.

The 5xxx series is a good choice.

Consider a SSD for the games and OS only?

That looks very good but I would be considering the Thermalright Ultra-120 Heatsink (TRUE 120) or a Prolimatech Megahalems, both with some decent fans in push/pull that do at least 80CFM:

Or even consider a Corsair H50 for minimal fuss water cooling.

Or why wouldn't you go for an intel CPU with HD5870 as a GPU?

    I strongly recommend i5 750 with a nice O/C-able mobo.Had AMD,got sick of it:)

i want an intel core i7 but its just to expensive, so i went for something fast and cheap, i was thinking just get a good computer that is upgradable, then i could just get better parts when i get the cash

    YES

I would definitely recommend this! i just got one, and i have to say its one of the best buys i've ever had!

It will outperform high end air coolers for half the price!

Its easy (enough) to install and is relativly maintenance free!

You obviously didn't read my comment AMD IS BACK with a vengeance and or look at the link. When some of the worlds OC crowd give AMD a big thumbs up you have to listen.

the only real reason i want an i7 is for hyper threading, but AMD has a hyper tunnel which i hear is better for gaming and i would be able to get stock 3.4ghz instead of 2.8
