    Hey everyone,

I got a problem that's not a HUGE problem but it is very annoying. I am running XP Pro 64-bit on my machine and everytime I click start -> shut down the desktop freezes before the shut down menu appears! This happens 100% everytime.

The reason I say it's not a HUGE deal is because I can still ctrl+alt+del and get the system to restart or shut down, whatever I need. I can also reclaim my desktop by killing and restarting the explorer.exe process

I definitely want to get this fixed though so if anyone has ANY ideas that'd be GREAT. Essentially it seems like the explorer process is freezing once I click shut down. TIA Everyone!

Is there also an adobe product running?

No, no adobe products running, I have McAfee, Code Collaborator, Slick Run, Daemon Tools, Google Desktop, standard stuff like that running, nothing is running now that wasn't running a week ago when it worked just fine. :(

I asked because some users with acrobat installed experience this problem.]

Does it also happen in safe mode?

Have you tried the shutdown troubleshooting wizard?

    start>helpand support>troubleshooter>startup/shutdown

This problem has also been reported in conjuction with logitech mice and other USB devices.

No it works fine in Safe mode. I have not tried the shutdown trouble shooting either, I'll give that a shot. I do have the wireless logitech keyboard and mouse.

I tried to run help and support from the start menu but it always ends up freezing after an undetermined ammount of time and I can no longer use help and support.... go figure.

Don't know when Logitech are going to fix this problem. That's my favourite suspect.
