I've tried just about everything to eliminate myself from randomly disconnecting from games online. I have a Linksys WRT54G v8 router. The laptops in the house all connect to it wirelessly, my XBOX 360 connects to it wired. What happens is that I will be playing let's just choose Call of Duty 4 and then all of a sudden I will get disconnected from the game, not XBOX Live, but then I can quickly start up and join another game like nothing happened. I tried to use a direct connection from my 360 to my modem, but that doesn't work. I've tried port forwarding, dmz, static ip, just about everything. I've probably googled my problem over 200 times, went to more than 50 forums, but no solutions! I do have surround sound and two wireless phones in the vicinity of my router; could that be causing some interference? But it shouldn't because I'm going wired. Any help?
