MySQL primary key

    I set up a little program using automatic PHP script generators and MySQL tables. After a bit of investigation I realise I need to change the primary key from forename to surname. I could redo the whole thing, but as I can do a bit of command line work, I could just change the key manually, but can't work out the syntax from the help. Maybe I have to drop it and then recreate it ????

    Alter <tablename> ???????????????????????

    Anybody help ?
