Basically I'm having problems opening ANY email in Outlook Express. I get a blank screen whatever I do. In the preview pane and if I double click on the message. Even if I click reply, I get the title of the original message, but below the title is just nothing.
Here is a screen shot of what is basically happening:

This happens on ALL folders. My ISP's email, my Hotmail, and the same basically with the few newsgroups I'm on, except then it gives me an error and then says "Message cannot be downloaded" whenever I try to view a message.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? I need my email back asap really :/

I've heard of this problem before, but I can't remember what the fix is

Found this in the MSKB here:

It's for ME, don't know your OS, but it's worth a try...

    Opps. I have XP Pro...
Thanks, but I tried that anyway, and it didn't help at all.

Any one have any other ideas?

    Do you use Norton AV?

IF so a possible fix is to uninstall and re-install it again... cannot remember why it screwed up like that... but the symptoms are the same as you described.

You're not the only one with this problem. There seems to be a bit of an outbreak going on. Here's a link to a thread on another forum. User's OS is also XP Pro. Maybe their solution will work for you too.

Thanks a lot NonSuch, I found the thread which relates to the problem and did their fix. It works now :)

    That was pretty random.
I'm not using Norton(the last time I installed Norton I needed to reformat), just AVG right now.

    Weird....

    Thanks again guys!
