   I have a user that has overwritten some of her files in her my docs. She is running Windows XP. Does anyone know of a utility or any other way of going back to previous files that have been overwritten?

   If overwritten then only way would be commercail data recovery companies like http://www.ontrack.com/
   
   but you could try this free software as its helpped not just me but others in recovering deleted data, bear in mind tho it may not recover everything.
   
   PC Inspector File Recovery
   
   note: you will need a second drive to recover to as it will not recover to the same HD or drive ( any logical drive will do... Zip, Network Drive etc )
