reinstall services.exe in registry

    I accidently removed services,exe for the registry thinking it was a trojan. now my plug and play is not functioning. I tried to reinstall window with the system disk but it is sp1 and I have sp2.

    Is there anyway to repair the registry.

    Have you tried a System Restore?
    Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.

    Pick a date prior to the problem.

    If this doesn't run from "normal" mode, boot up in Safe Mode. Tap the F8 key during bootup to get the boot menu. Choose Safe Mode. Then attempt the above.
