gmail?

i dont really know what the story is with gmail yet but i'd love to try it. i understand that its still at the beta stage and one can only get an account through invite. would anyone here be able to hook me up?

One of the reasons it's invite only right now is to avoid spammers like Yahoo is being bombarded with. Some people's full time job is to join Yahoo accounts all day long and send SPAM.

Gmail is sweet. You will enjoy it. It has a new correspondence concept to save email clutter. It doesn't have emoticons or edit features like Bold, italics or text size/color, etc. But w/ 100GBs, you can't beat it. It's like having a small hard drive on-line!
