    Evening Ladies and Gents...

I was wondering if you guys could shed some insight into what the problem may be
I could use a fresh pair of eyes/minds on this situation

    Issue is pretty strange
I assembled the system perfectly no issues for 3-4 months
2-3 weeks prior i recieved BSOD's but could not read them carefully, the PC immediately powered off (i assumed it was overheating)
yesterday PC crashed while i was playing games tried to reboot, failed
left it alone to cool down, tried again, and recieved a continuous BEEP from the post. Now:

    - No POST
    - No BIOS
    - No OS
    - Blinking Monitor

    CPU: Athlon 64FX-60 2.6
    MOBO: AMD32-SLI Deluxe
    MEMORY: 1GB XMS Corsair DDR400 w/LED
Video: XFX GeForce 7900 GS (x2 in SLI)
    HD: SATA 250GB Western Digital
PSU: Ultra Xfinity: 600w (sli ready)
    Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 940w
    Drive: LG DVD+/-RW

    - nothing fried, no strange fumes/smells
    - CPU fan recieves power
    - Mobo Lights up
    - LED's on RAM light up
    - replaced SATA cables with spares
    - removed and reattached cpu
    - replaced CMOS battery
    - HD wasn't spinning, recently started up
    - DVD drive powers up
    - Monitor blinks blankly, never powers on...
    - added a 120mm fan over the CPU (works fine)

I can only relate this issue to when a PC is first assembled...but i don't have a clue as to what the sucker may be...

    any help/advice appreciated

    Fuzz

It sounds like the power supply is toast; many are the times I've seen power supplies go out and still supply enough juice to spin the fans and light the LED's. Also- closely inspect your motherboard for any capacitors that have bulged tops. ALL capacitors should have perfectly flat tops. If any are 'popped' or even leaking crud, it's time for a new mobo.

thanks for the speedy reply dave

Power supply is good, i have a spare 500W SLI ready PSU, its acting the same way, i'm leaning toward the mobo...but i don't see any popped/bulged capacitors...strangly as i remove the RAM, i get a post for Video... 1 long beep, to short. If add a spare RAM, i get 3 short beeps (for RAM). I think my video and XMS RAM are alright...i think its got to be the mobo, i'll test it out...

any further help would be much obliged!!!
