Socket 939 X2 4200+ 3.0ghz woot

    Well i just took my lil $40 manchester to 3.0ghz and i could of took her higher but im saveing that for later. Im guessing i could hit 3.1 to 3.2ghz area with it but im really hopeing for 3.2ghz.

    you should be able to get 2.8-2.9ghz.

    P.S would you know all the overclock setting to a chive this kind of speed at all?

    Each overclock is diffront. But you got a DFI so that will help you tons but they have a ton of settings for overclocking.


    Lower your ram davider to 133mhz and start pushing your cpu up untill it becomes unstable then back off it by 5-10mhz. test by raising the cpu by 5mhz and running a program like 3dmark or somthing. Try to keep your htt around 1000mhz and dont go over your rams rated speed by to much unless you got some good ram. but you can try this

    I just cant tell you what numbers to enter in because each chip ocs diffront. some need more voltage why outhers dont. my 4200+ oc'ed to 2.8 on stock volts but to get 3.0ghz i had to raise it a lot.
