Direct IP Connect with COD2

Does anyone know how i get a friend to connect to my COD2 server using direct ip address, doesnt COD2 have that facility or is there another way round ?
Prob is, hes not too tech, and he can never find my server in the list. Cheers!

uhhhh yah there is a way...

make sure the console is enabled and press the console key "`" to the left of the number 1.

then enter:
/connect [ip address]:[port number]; password [password]
and press enter

you do not need to enter a port number if it is the default port (28960) nor a password if the server is not password protected

sooooo
lets say the server ip you're trying to connect to is 64.69.36.30 w/ default port #

you would type:
/connect 64.69.36.30
and press enter

if there were a password and it were "scrim" you would type:
/connect 64.68.36.30; password scrim
and press enter

you can do anything from the console that is possible to do in the game
try typing "+gocrouch"
