   Can someone explain the reason that a wireless router running at 54 mps
   
   does not work as well as a different brand of router that only runs 11 mps?

   Are you talking between all computers on it, or through the Internet? One reason is because the slower is able to keep up with the packets. And also it is about what brand of router, and how old.
