Help? 1 bad file found

    After IE beta 8.2 went wrong I ran a new scan for malware just to check.

    Prevx CSI u have to pay if u use the tool to fix it which i haven't done.

    Still it found 1 bad file.


    Looks serious to me.

    Any advice?

    threat found- rootkit
    status-bad
    name-C:Windows/system32/DRIVERS/xaudio.exe


    i don't know what to do.

    This is a legit file. :)

    If you suspect you are having malware problems...then feel free to go to the malware section and do the READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide


    Then start a thread in that forum with your logs.
