Windows Media Player asf files wont play

    For some reason when searching sites with links to Windowns Media playlist files (asf) they only way I can get them to play is by saving the target but when in the past it would automatically open. I checked my internet and media player explorer settings but can't see what preventing it. Has anyone else had the problem or know any resolutions? Thanks
