Ok, so I fell for the scam. I am ashamed I know.

But, after the guy was talking to me he asked if I wanted to buy something for $50.

I said no, and hung up.

He was still on my computer so I did the following:

    Disconnected him from ammyy

    I plugged my internet out

    Did a system restore

Restored my computer to manufactured version.

Im just wondering if they can get any info?

I had a couple of note pads full of **** I dont care about... that's it.

No credit card info no nothing.

About 9 days this happened I purchased something with my credit card, could they have gotten that info?

I also didn't log into ANYTHING personal while he was talking to me.

I went ahead and changed all my passwords for my email, netflix, everything.

    I'm wondering if I'm safe

Please help me, i'm only 14, and have no clue if Im safe.

I purchased something with my moms credit card. That's the only thing I've done related to that on here.

My mom hasn't even used this comp

Bank stuff, etci sn't on here

Is it possible for them to get?

    PLEASE HELP ME.

Not if you didn't give it to them.
If you suspect malware's presence on the machine then you will need to run the following:

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Pleases follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

    Thank for the qucik reply

Well, after I have run a system recovery to manufactured settings, I scanned my computer with norton.

After scanning with norton, I uninstalled that and installed AVG.

I scanned with AVG and nothing was found
I also went in safe mode and scanned with avg for about 4 times and nothing was found.
I also did a scan with malewarebytes anti maleware and found nothing.

Should I be notifying banks? Even though no information on this computer has any of that info? This computer is brand new, It was repaired due to a corrupt windows 7.

You should be okay because as you stated you did not get tempted by the scam, so did not provide them with details. However they guy did have a remote connection to the computer. Were there any important banking details on the PC? (I think you said no) It cannot hurt to follow my instructions though and attach the requested logs after running the requested tools. Then I can at least let you know if the guy from Ammyy left any crap behind. :)

No bank details or anything like that were on the PC.

Also can you give me a guide for noobies on what you want me to do?

Like a step by step thing, because the links you gave me are hard to follow

What would you like me to do so you can see if he left anything on my comp?

    Good.

I'm afraid the instructions that I have provided are the ONLY guide we have, which countless amounts of people manage to follow on a day to day basis. If you feel your computer is running nicely and it is not giving you any malware typed problems then you are probably fine. But for me to make absolutely sure you would have to follow the procedures which I linked you to. Otherwise if you are still worried and want someone to give it the 'once over' you could always take it into a tech. But that would probably cost.

:confused I already have. Unfortunately I cannot do it ALL for you. :( If you want to have me check your PC then you are going to have to help me, to help you, I already told you what needs to be done, and what other options you have if you are not prepared to follow my instructions.

I do NOT WANT your money. I offer my services here on a voluntary basis (This is stated at the top of the malware forum - that we are volunteers)

And so is this thread. You obviously cannot follow instructions so you can take your chances at another tech forum if you like, if you still NEED help. I told you what to do, our guide IS for "noobs" really because of how well and clearly it was written. It is VERY easy to follow.
