Tigerdirect rant! Will not ship router!!!

This is a vent, sorry! But also a warning. I ordered an Asus router from Tigerdirect.com 12 days ago. They charged my visa debit that afternoon, the order has yet to ship. Initially after the first 4 days they told me it had not shipped because I didn't use expedited shipping, after a week, they claimed warehouse upgrades were the problem, now they won't return my emails and calls to the 800 number put me on terminal hold. This is my first purchase from TD in ten years. I never had a problem in the past, they were reputable. Now I am beginning to have my doubts. Even though they reassured me the item was in stock, I am thinking that it wasn't and maybe they are stalling until they get another shipment of the item. I asked for a refund, but they refused saying it isn't possible once an order goes to the shipping department. 12 days is a long time to put a shipping label on an item and put it on a truck.

I've stopped doing business, over the internet, with Tiger Direct, because they have cancelled their Charge Card accounts. When my account is finally paid off, that's IT for TD.

I've even cancelled their daily ad sheets that would come to me via email. Just too much wasted bandwidth.

By cancelling all their Charge Card accounts, it looks like they might be on the downhill slide.
The last time I was in their store in Orlando, half the shelves were bare. Not a very encouraging sight.

I usually use NewEgg and have for a while. If the item ships out of Edison, NJ via UPS, I will usually see it next day even with "SuperEggSaver" four to seven day shipping because the warehouse is so close by.

 

I have used them several times with no problem but not this year (current PS and vid card came from there). They used to offer a tracking number that would tell you exactly where the package is via Fed Ex. Check the order form for tracking number and go look.
