    Hi All
I have a problem with spyware & trojans on my Dell desktop using Win XP ('03), but also before this arose i had an ongoing problem starting a couple of weeks ago when booting the pc & when opening MS outlook & some other applications - a window came up "Preparing to Install windows Installer" then another message box with "Norton Antivirus 2005 does not support the Repair feature, please uninstall & reinstall" & i would have to click "OK" to clear & the applications would work fine - not sure if the two are related but haven't got the Norton system disks to reinstall & Dell asking for £50 for 1 month warranty to get support on this problem!

So the initial symptom of spyware & trojans was Internet explorer go straight to "secure32.html" page - this would default as home page despite changing & still does - not sure how to get this changed - looking at similar post on this forum they changed something in regedit but not that IT literate - can someone help? And also got loads of pop ups & pc crashing & applications not working - so i went through the Malware removal step, only thing i couldn't do was download Java in safemode, but did in Normal & seemed to be fine. The problems still persisted - cannot use MS Outlook & other programs - i download trading data daily & this doesn't work. Popups so far have gone, & pc seems to be running quicker, but did download HijackThis also.

    So 3 problems:
Windows Installer / Norton Antivirus error message
Secure32.html default as IE homepage - cannot change in IE
Trojans / Spyware still existing after running Remove Malware

I have attached logs for Activescan, Bitdefender, & HijackThis. Another member mentioned that i'd been infected with an exploit trojan (omcamcap.exe)?

Your help would be much appreciated, so far found the forums very helpful, & really appreciate the advice & links to freedownloads etc.

    Many thanks,
    R
