For example if I want to make everything in my computer read in "Comic Sans MS", is it possible?

I have the font file for the font I'd like... I was able to import it in word, but I want more of it~
    haha

    thanks for the info

Right click on your desktop and select Properties to open Display Properties. Select the Appearance tab and click on Advanced. In the Item box, select one or more of the following items:

    Active Title Bar
    Inactive Title Bar
    Icon
    Menu
    Message Box
    Palette Title
    Selected Items
    ToolTip

Select the font you want for them. That panel will give you a preview of some of these items. Click OK to save changes.

    Is that what you want?

o wow, yea, that's something near what I want.... however my script (I got it from the internet) isn't there....

it's a weird handwriting script, is there any way I could make it appear on that list?

Is that font available in Notepad, Wordpad, or other programs in your computer? How did you "install" it, after you downloaded it?

I think perhaps you don't really have it installed in the normal way. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314960 and focus on the section on Adding New Fonts.

yup, it's avaliable in those programs, but still not in the display properties...

Could it be that one of the letters in the name of the font has an umlaut on it? (ΓΌ)

Also, I noticed that Wingdings isnt an avalaible font for the Display Properties...
btw, the font I want to add looks like this:
    http://www.rechtschreib-werkstatt.de/rsl/me/vd/assets/images/vd-sueterlin.gif

Could it be that the computer sees that as Wingdings? Since it doesn't really look like writing, thought I can read it... it's not a random image, unlike Wingdings.

Also, the font is TrueType, if that helps at all?

    Dead End?

Well, I took a closer look at my system (Win XP Pro) and found that not all fonts installed in the Windows Fonts folder appear in the list of fonts available from the Display Properties/Appearance panel. The ones that do not appear are the ones marked with a red A in Control Panel, Fonts. Here's an image to show the three types of font icons in my Fonts folder:

I don't know why that font you want to use is not available. I suggest searching for something similar and trying it. As you know, many free fonts can be found on the Internet and downloaded. One source: http://desktoppub.about.com/cs/fonts/p/free_fonts.htm

Or, do a search such as http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Windows+fonts&btnG=Search
