Forum Rules? Questions?

I am just wondering if I missed the Forum Rules.
All Forums I have been to there are Rulkes to read.
I dont want to offend anyone or post something wrong.?
Like Live links?..Posting in red? Description of what to do with dead links that are found? or anything of the like.

(I recently was posting at a forum and I did my reply to all questions in red to be eaisier to read and boy... was that a big NO NO!
So I just dont want to repeat that!

Look to the sticky notes. Basically be civil, it's OK to disagree as long as you're doing it with some respect.

Post in the areas designated for the topic. If you're having problems with operating systems use the software forum, if you have a website you think is cool use interesting websites.

The big one though, NO SPAMMING! That means do not try to sell or otherwise advertise products. If in doubt PM (private mail) Major Attitude and ask.

Basically it is a family forum for all ages, so keep it real. Links can be posted as long as it is not spam or freeloading for advertising. If you get it wrong the moderators will change it for you and let you know, so just kick back and enjoy

Colored typeface is fine but bear in mind some readers may have sight issues and bright colors, small fonts and all uppercase letters make it very hard to read.

 

Not sure if there is a set of rules posted somewhere. Really not a lot of rules. Try to keep everything at PG-13 level, try to keep your answers to things you have experience with, have fun learning and helping, links shouldn't be to porn sites or to sites you are promoting, basically common sense stuff. Most of the forums have stickys that either explain some about that forum or have help tips. Here's a couple of links to stuff about the site.

Welcome thebat1 to Major Geeks its nice to see someone who is concerned with Forum edict, nice touch. You will find the Major Geeks Gang a friendly lot, we all treat each other as Brothers and Sisters, and yea sometimes there are some minor spats, but any Major Geek will give you a helping hand if you ask. My own preference is to ignore those that type all there posts in colour, for me it is a cry for attention. Colour/Different Type is fine to make a point, but thats were it should be used ONLY, at least that's the way I feel, others may differ. Again Welcome to Major Geeks
