    Hi,

I have had google saved to my firefox bookmark bar for the last year (since I got my laptop). Now all of a sudden when I click on it, it sends me to google.de instead of google.com. If I hightlight .de and type .com, or type in the whole address, soon I hit enter it reappears as google.de.

I know this is naive, but I have a mac, I thought I wasn't supposed to get bugs!!??

I have emailed google, but of course they are not responding. I can't find anything else weird at the moment, but am worried about a bigger underlying problem, or my info being unsafe.

    Can anyone HELP!???

    Thanks!!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I'm sorry but this is not a MAC help forum. This is for PCs. You could try posting in the Software Forum or your could go to the MAC forum here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40 where you will find a few more MAC users. Your problem may not even be malware. It sounds like what we (in the PC world) would call a hosts file setting has been changed. I would assume a MAC would also have a hosts file.
