screen resolution

Hi am at a friends house who has just purchased a second hand
NFREN 1700MA flat screen.. The only way I can describe it is the screen resolution looks like the old 3D pictures. Where white should be it is a shade of pink with vertical pink lines and where black is it flickers into a flouresent blue colour. Settings are..
Sharpness 4
Gamma Linear ..if crt it gets worse
colour temp 9300 ,, go lower and it worsens
Red/Green/Blue 50

Intel pent 4 1800 mhtz
Mobo Intel Rexburg 2
Ram 256 DDR
Onboard Intel Extreme Graphics

If switched off for a long period like 48 hours it will function properly for about 2/3 hours before image becomes distorted again to a flouerscent red blue and green.

Friend was assured working OK before he drove the 200 mile round trip to collect.

 

Any takers plz. friend e-mailing to find out prob.. Did not mention earlier he is running XP home..
