Do you know the address to these specific websites? If you do then you can manually edit the "hosts" file. You can set it so when your children type in www.roleplaysite.com the browser trys to go to a pre determined website, usually you can just go to 127.0.0.1 which is the local loopback address to your computer, the browser will display a cannot find server error message.

For info on the "hosts" file and how to use it go here: http://www.accs-net.com/hosts/what_is_hosts.html

Chances are you can ask your kids, they might know :) I know that there is a feature in Zonealarm pro that allows you to control what webpages they have access to porn and other adult webpages, you could also try Net Nanny, Im sure there are other such programs but I have never used any of them and dont know much about them.

You could also try to ask at your kids school, Im sure they use some kind of web filtering to.

Edit: Not sure they can block role playing sites, you should check that before you buy anything.

if using a brodband connection then you can get a router that you can enter domains into that would block them. This would also have the added advantage that your kids couldn't edit anything in the router config without the password. D-link and Linksys both make models capable. You'd just have to physically secure the router so the couldn't unplug the WAN cable and plug it directly into the PC, a radioshack project box would do, you can buy some with a small padlock tab.
