Problems With Game Backup

Not sure where to put this was thinking Hardware, But it has to do with a game but I don't know. Anyway I have saved games from Stronghold Crusader Copied to a CD-R (Music Disk) Err it was at the time the only thing I had...

Now the problem is I can't get them off...It won't let me copy them onto a new HDD which is very irritating cause I have some very very cool stuff on the saved games I'd like to play again.

Any idea's on how I can get the files to copy?

 

You might have gotten a bad burn.
Did you reboot your computer and try again to the file to your computer?

 

I tried and I still get this crap. I don't understand would there be another way of getting the files off the disk like a 3rd party program.

 

Exactly how did you copy them?

Can you view the contents in Windows Explorer?

 

Pasted the files to Drive ( E: ) Clicked "Write These Files To A Disk"

And yes I can view them in Windows Explorer but it takes forever...

 

Well there's your first problem if you're using Windows to burn files.

That's a very basic built-in packet writing program. Use a dedicated program next time.

You can try something like ISOBuster to extract the files, but it may take a while or not work at all.

 

Would RecordNow be any good for Copying Files to disks?

 

Yes, any decent dedicated program.

We have a very good one, CDBurnerXP, and it's free.

 

Well so far so good, The program is working good a few errors but nothing important
