multimedia audio controller...

so i reinstalled xp as a way to solve a problem i was having...but it didnt solve it, a much easier way solved the problem i was having, but now -

i cant play any music, it says 'no audio hardware installed' and on device manager its showing the multimedia audio controller as not being installed, and it cant find a freekin driver to install it with! and i dont know the make of my soundcard, and i dont know where to get a driver from, and i need my mp3's!

lol fear not!
check what the multimedia codec says and then go to www.driverguide.com and sign up for that (its free).
then i hopefully guarantee that a driver will be on there!
