Registration Key

I see my Avast 4 Home (freeware) registration key needs to be renewed. So I re-registered at their site and was suppose to receive a new key via e-mail within 24 hours. Never received anything and yes, I did make sure their e-mail addresses would be allowed through to my inbox.

I did contact them, but never got any answers.

Is Avast 4 Home (freeware) still available? Or do I have to purchase their Pro version in order to keep using Avast?

 

Since Avast 5.0 is out, Alwil has instituted a new on-line registration. Maybe the best thing to do, since your current key needs renewal, is download Avast Free 5.0, completely uninstall Avast Home 4.8, install Avast Free 5.0 and do an on-line registration. Avast 5.0 is sleek, has new features and uses less resources.

Might also try this page: https://secure.avast.com/scripts/register.php?lang=ENG to see if you can get Avast Home 4.8 registration renewed. Make sure to choose the "I'm a registered user and my registration key has expired, I need a new one" option.

If you have another email address, you might try using it instead.
