Graphics cards

    Hey Major Geeks! Ilove your stuff, really helps me out, but I have a pressing problem, Im getting a new computer for Xmas, I already have it, its a Dell E310 and here are its specs:

    1 Dimension E310 Series, Intel Pentium 4 Processor 531 (3.00GHz) and 1MB cache $660.73
    1 1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 400MHz $0.00
    1 Dell USB Keyboard $0.00
    1 Dell USB 2-button mouse $0.00
    1 17IN(16.0IN VIS)E773c Monitor,Midnight Grey,Dimension $0.00
    1 Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelator 900 $0.00
    1 Dell 720 Printer Driver $0.00
    1 160GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7 $0.00
    1 No Floppy Drive Requested $0.00
    1 Intel Pro 100M Integrated PCI NIC Card $0.00
    1 16X DVD-Rom Drive $0.00

    I know, its not awsome, but its what I could afford, and I love gaming, but cant afford an XPS or alienware ETC...........so I was wondering, do I need a better graphics card? I dont think the one it comes with is very good, please help majorgeeks!(and tell me if any other hardware is required):eek:

    Its crap, get a video card and a sound card. How much your spending? :confused:

    thanks, but you didnt help at all, I cant afford anything better sorry :) specific hardware for it would be good :)

    Depends how well you wanna play games, if you are happy playing with lego men, then you can stick with that graphics card... But I would (and im sure the rest of the world would) recommend getting a better graphics card, but all depends on your budget really...

    Im not an extreme gamer but I play alot, I would like to play counterstrike and halflife ,etc etc. Budge=within $200

    Didnt you just say you couldnt afford anything? But now you have 200$ to spend? :rolleyes: . Get a 6600GT pci-e
