    A couple days ago.. my computer got infected with some sort of virus that is redirecting, my google search engine links, to other sites mostly ads.

    I tried using HijackThis but it wouldn't open.
    I tried using ComboFix.. it detected a rootkit but it didnt fix the problem.

    RemoveIT-Pro detected some files in WINDOWS\system32 which including: logevent.dll

    I tried scanning logevent.dll using avenger.exe but it didn't detect any rootkits.

    I used Win32kDiag to get a diagnostic log.

    UPDATE: I was able to run Combofix successfully and it was able to fix my problem which apparently was an infected eventlog.dll

    I would still recommend that you attach the logs from:
    SAS
    MBAM
    C:\MGLogs.zip --> from running the C:\MGTools.exe
