How do I uninstall the PowerSearch Toolbar for IE?

    How do I uninstall the PowerSearch Toolbar for IE? I went to add/remove programs and the following site came up. :confused:

    http://www.sirsearch.com/toolbar/partner/freedvd/uninstall.html

    I assume the uninstall tool does not work because nothing I do gets rid of this. It's quite frustrating. I have WINME. It won't go out of add/remove programs no matter what I do. :mad: Please Help!!!:eek:

    Try the below:

    Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run. (The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
    Browse to the key:
    'HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Toolbar \ WebBrowser'

    In the right pane, delete the value called {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-A08E-8E1CA787AD2D}, if it exists.

    Delete 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-A08E-8E1CA787AD2D}', if it exists.

    Browse to the key:
    'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Toolbar'

    In the right pane, delete the value called {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-A08E-8E1CA787AD2D}, if it exists.

    Exit the registry editor. Restart your computer.

    Delete the following directory: C:\Program Files\PowerSearch
