windows 7 classic games for windows 8?

windows 8 does not come with the classic games from windows 7. is there somewhere where I can download these same classic games from windows 7 (individually or all together) for windows 8?
more specifically I would like the same chess and card games.

 

I have had luck just copying them over from my Win7 install.

 

all I have is this new computer with windows 8. I no longer have the old computer I had with windows 7. looking to download these from somewhere.

 

Too bad there's not another way (or is there?). After trying it once and having a heck of a time getting rid of it, there's no way on Earth I'll open another Microsoft account.

 

Don't know which games you are most interested in but assume you looked at the download links here on Major Geeks for games. Limited choices but some decent games.
