I had a problem saving the Bitdefender scan but figured out, now I just ran the Panda scan and following the Panda help, I did the scan, closed the popup window when scan was done as I was suppose to, but I did not see the SEE REPORT link where is that link at? thanks

I went ahead and ran a second Panda scan and like the first scan it found nothing. I had the printed instructions for 'Using Panda ActiveScan' in my hand and on line 8 it says: When the scan is finished close the pop up window and then click SEE REPORT.

I closed the pop up window (the window that pop up when the scan was running and showed the progress of the scan). The pandasoftware products and scan page (the page the Panda link on Majorgees takes you to) was the only other window for Panda. I looked their and there was no SEE REPORT. Could this be because nothing was found?

What I am to do? It sounds like I need this file log to get help here.

If it is not finding anything, there is nothing to report. Just continue on thru all steps!

    Are you having malware problems?

Hi, I think it is some sort of a trojan/malware, but I am not sure.

1 week ago my browser, IE 6 stoped working, font was changing and my forward button went missing and next to the back button was a number 6. If I went to Tools and >Internet options, there were no check boxes under the Advance tab for choosing security. And browsing, multimedia, etc, all were missing. When I went to the Security tab the custom level was grayed out, the other tabs in the browser either look weird, or had missing items or didn't work and some caused the browser to crash.

Even Windows was weird. My Norton icon and Sygate icon disappeared from next to the clock and in there place was part of the time for the clock repeated again.

I have Windows ME, IE 6, Norton antivirus 2001, Sygate firewall and I am on DSL. I have Spyware Blaster. All are up to date with downloads. I have not downloaded or opened any unknow files.

I scanned my computer with Norton, Ad Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy and it found nothing. I also scanned with BHO Demon 2.0 for browser add ons and it found nothing bad.

So I used system restore and that fixed the problem for exacelty 1 week, but now the problem is back but not as bad. That is why I was working through all of the steps in "READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide"

I have not had the time to complete it beyond the Panda scan, but so far all of the scans show my computer is clean.

I am planning on finishing the Malware Removal Guide steps as soon as I have time. Are there other diagnostic test that I can do to determine the problem if it is not malware? Is there some place I can look for error logs? Or? thanks

Well our main focus in this forum is malware; however you could try running

    sfc /scannow

from a command prompt window! It's been awhile since I played with WinME but I think this was a valid command in WinME.

Just attach all you logs from the READ & RUN ME when finished and we will check things out.
