    If i wanted to upgrade my processor, what would i have to do to my motherboard, or anyother object?

    You may need to update your motherboard's BIOS. Additionally, you'll have to check and see what CPUs are supported with the most recent BIOS revision for your motherboard. Just because it physically fits in the socket (or slot) doesn't mean it will work!

    If you're buying an OEM processor (I recommend retail) you will need to make sure your HSF is rated to cool the new processor. Retail processors include a HSF that is rated for the processor it is packaged with.
